As the director states: “The film is devoted to the formation of the Armed Forces of RA and is based on real events from the Nagorno Karabakh Liberalization Process. The actors are non-professionals. Most of them are usual soldiers”. The film is about a conscript who thinks about nothing but food. However, but trainings turned him into a real combatant, moroever, he saves his commandant’s from death. The film was shot in 2006. The next film is Aleksandr Baghdasayan’s “The Road”, which was recognized as the best debut. Two quite interesting and contemporary stories are represented in the film. Firstly the director wanted to create a film with three stories, but later he came to a conclusion that the third one was similiar to the previous ones. As he states: “In two short films I represented three characters, one of which dies. The themes of the films is choice. The first film is based on real events, which I tried to transmit. I wanted to show the contrast betwen the moral, inner and World wars. The choice of the film heroes is accidental but as for me it is successful. It’s worth mentioning that this film was shot a year and a half ago. There are also new thoughts and projects for creating a new film. The animation film “Anahit” by David Sahakyants was the last one which was screened in the frames of “Rolan” International Film Festival. The film was shot on the motives of fairy tale “Anahit” by Ghazaros Aghayan. The meetings with famous directors were organised in RAU in the frames of “Rolan” 10th International Film Festival for Children and Young People which is held by Armenian “Rolan Bykov” Foundation.
