Honorary journalist of RA, sports commentator. Founder and author of “TV Football”, “Chess School”, “Belated Meetings”, “Sport without Borders” and other TV programs. Owner of a number of awards and certificates for best commentation awarded by the International Federations of Football, Boxing and Chess. Has been awarded with Gold Medal of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of RA (2013), “Varazdat Arshakuni” (2011) and “Hrant Shahinyan” (2013) Gold Medals of National Olympic Committee of RA.

Chess player, International Grandmaster, Honoured Trainer of RA, First Vice-President of Armenian Chess Federation, founder and president of the Chess Academy of Armenia. Winner of European Chess Club Cup (1986, 1988, 1994, 1995), holder of Bronze Medal of World Chess Olympiad (1992, 2002, 2004), winner of European team chess championship (1999), champion of World Chess Olympiad (2006). Has been awarded with “Anania Shirakatsi” (1999) and “Movses Khorenatsi” (2006) medals of RA.

Honoured trainer of RA, Honorary Worker of Physical Education and Sport of RA, honored member of Artists’ Union of Armenia, police colonel. Founder of “Vazgen Badalyan” boxing club. Trainer of the world-known boxer Vic Darchinyan.
